New Leveraged Biotech ETFs Combine Biologics Revolution with Supercharged Returns

ProShares, the originator of dozens of other leveraged long and short ETFs has now launched a Daily 2X Return ETF for both the long and short Nasdaq Biotechnology Index.Â I highlighted earlier in the week how there are several non-leveraged Biotech ETFs with varying returns due to their composition, but many of them are breaking multi-year highs nonetheless given the flurry of activity in the space.Â As large pharmas scramble to fill voids left by expiring blockbusters and biotechs simultaneously commercialize viable candidates, now is the nexus of the next leg in the Biotech bull market.Â These new leveraged ETFs will allow for supercharged near term trading returns, but as always, I do not suggest holding them long-term due to leveraged ETF decay.
